BUYER BEWARE! Please search the net for the recent outcry of consumers being misled, mishandled and blatantly ignore in regards to Richmond bending policy to suit their needs. Including abusing COVID "restrictions" to their advantage. "Residents speak out about unfinished houses sold to them by Richmond American Homes". We are receiving similar treatment.
We are currently being 'schtooped' by this locations salesman (Tyler Harris) AND the contractor.
**UPDATE 3/21/2021
Nothing but headaches regarding workmanship and warranty work:
1. ***Wrong tile floor color (3 rooms) (have been redone 3x) Including down to the threshold strips (4th visit). HUGE blunder! (WOW!!!)
They actually mixed a tile meant for a bathroom (grey) with the (creme) kitchen tile. So the kitchen was 2-tones!! THEN they took the proper master bath tile (nothing wrong with it), re-laid it!! AND laid it all in a totally different direction!!! What a clown show!!
2. Baseboards on stairs splitting.
3. Splitting and horrid finish work on Stair rails, balusters, and newel posts. (REFUSING TO REPLACE, rather they 'patched' them w/filler)
4. Dishwasher not being assembled/installed (caused HUGE water gush)
5. Cabinet not fastened back to wall (COME ON!!)
6. Electrical issues (no power at outlets and switches)
7. Fireplace failure (electrical?)
8. Misc: completely missing pieces of baseboard, not tacking carpet back down after neighboring tile repairs.
9. ***In one bedroom there was a HUGE gap in not placing the padding beneath the carpet. Straight up sub-flooring!!!
10. In that same room..the MOST ABHORRENT ABUSE? (I am calling this an abuse as they REFUSE to fix it properly) is that a window was framed (FRAMED) improperly. It is so severely and so VISIBLY out of square, as to not accommodate the blinds that we purchased from the design center. They actually shimmed and puttied the gaps. OMG!! Idiots on parade!!! Keep in mind that this was caught when it was easy enough for them to properly re-frame it. But REFUSED to fix it properly then...and now.
SHAME ON YOU RICHMOND HOMES!! You are an embarrassment!!
...and please don't 'act" concerned by placing that insulting 'get in touch with us Please email questions..", (including your email)...You know damn well that you'll do the LEAST you can to rectify most issues.
