I just ordered takeout food from this restaurant for the first time. I have to say it was very disappointing. The enchiladas were not cooked all the way; we could tell because the cheese on top was not melted, and the tortillas were still hard. Our guacamole appetizer was also no longer fresh. It was all brown. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Gods bless our waiter, who was clearly plating and serving dishes, but the service is incredibly slow and the food is bland at best. It's clear there's a single person working in the kitchen, maybe two wait staff, and a bartender. The chips and salsa took about ten minutes to get, salsa had a decent bite, chips had no flavor. My strawberry lemonade was pretty good, which surprised me. Our dinner took half an hour to arrive.
I ordered the "portobello and vegetable fajitas" which were completely unseasoned. Might have had salt. 20$ for a single mushroom sliced up with half a bell pepper and some onion is a gross overcharge. One of my partners ordered steak fajitas, which apparently the meat was decent and that's the best he could say. He says we'd maybe come back if every other Mexican place in the area closed. This includes Chili's, which is a hell of an insult from him.

We used to be big fans of On the Border but normally ate at the Denver location. Their fajitas used to be the best. This experience was far from good. The service was extremely slow. I purchased their $14 margarita after asking the waiter if it was really worth it. It took forever to get our drinks and they was mediocre at best, barely tasting any tequila, we chose not to order a second round. We ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas for two and a large side of guacamole and extra cheese. When the order came we were told they did not have guacamole and we were not given extra cheese. The steak was good but the shrimp tasted old and almost had a freezer burn flavor. It was really disappointing as we drove a fair distance out of our way.

I've always enjoyed the food from here. Service has definitely been slow the past few years, but it is what it is. We ordered catering for our office and it was delicious and came with free chips, salsa, and queso! Driver was right on time and everything was prepped and ready to eat. Dining in, the grilled queso chicken is awesome. The blonde woman who works the bar section has always been respectful when we go. Much better than other competing restaurants (Chilis)(Applebees).

The bad reviews are correct. The food took forever. When we got our food after over an hour it was cold and gross. The fajitas had 0 seasoning were not even sizzling or anything like a fajita should and was cold to the touch. We expressed concern and were told by the server that “it’s hot” even though it clearly wasn’t. We just sucked it up and ate it because we had been waiting SO long at that point and were starving which was a big mistake because we are pretty sure we will get food poisoning from the undercooked shrimp. When we expressed it wasn’t good the server just said “why did you eat it then” and that was all. A joke. we did not want anything free just some acknowledgment of the awful food and were being honest when she asked how it was. She said she would get a manager, and never did and brought us an incorrect check. Don’t come here. Not worth it. You’ll get better food and a nicer staff at McDonald’s lol.
