In all the times I've eaten at Cracker Barrel, this was the worst visit I've ever experienced. Tables were full of dirty dishes and never cleared or cleaned. A table was cleared for a party and never wiped down. The server was a 4-star server but acted like he didn't care and refused to clear the tables. No manager for the was seen anywhere. When the manager was called, she acted like it was a huge inconvenience that we disrupted her "work". If I could give no stars, I would. Very disappointed. We will not be back.
We stopped after my sisters surgery, so we were both hungry. The waitress, Carley, was very nice and took good care of our orders. The food was well plated and tasted good.
Food was cold and Biscuits were hard. Very disappointing. But our server was amazing! What a great personality! You need more servers like her! The girl that checked us out was amazing too! Such an upbeat and bubbly person!
We are usually very satisfied with the food here, but we will not go to this place again. Portions are significantly smaller than a few months ago. My husband got a completely cold dish, eggs and steak. We asked the server to bring a new dish and she brought the same dish heated in the microwave. He got the same piece of meat he had cut to try, they just covered it with extra gravy on the top. We finished our meal and left very disappointed! Prices are also high compared to others breakfast places.
This is probably the worst Cracker Barrel I’ve ever been to. The “30 minute” wait was an hour. I’m not exaggerating. That’s not even close. Or waitress forgot virtually everything we asked for at least once. Biscuits? Had to ask twice. Plates? Had to ask twice. To go containers? Had to ask twice. The brown gravy and steamed broccoli took three tries before we finally got it. The only reason she didn’t forget our drinks is probably because the glasses were in her hands. My chicken fried steak, which… I mean I’ve had at countless Cracker Barrels… was an oversized hockey puck. And it was obvious. So they’ve got a problem in their kitchen too, because they knew it was waaaaaay overdone before it went to the table. The sides were good Everything about this place shouted disorganization. Checking out was a wait and effort as well. We were so disappointed. We were excited to be going to a Cracker Barrel—has been a while. I can’t imagine I would ever go back there.
