Good location. Not far from the freeway, but close to shopping, food, etc. The room was nice and appeared clean. The pool was fantastic. It is an indoor pool with a 3-story water slide as well as a small beach-entry kiddie pool area. There is also a jacuzzi outside with some outdoor tables and chairs. Breakfast was good and the on-site gym was above average.
My parents had reservations at this location to come for a visit with my family in Greeley. My mom became ill from cancer treatments and was unable to travel. I realize the reservation was “non-refundable” but sometimes management needs to make exceptions to the rules. They gave the hotel several days notice about having to cancel but management stuck to the policy without a care for their customer. They refused to refund $400! I have made multiple “non-refundable” reservations at Marriott chain hotels and was forced to miss travel for various health reasons in addition to scheduling conflicts that arose. In EVERY SINGLE CASE, those hotels refunded my stay and did not penalize me for having to cancel. One time was a same day emergency. Some of them were independently operated just as this location is. There is absolutely no excuse to refuse to refund a reservation especially when someone’s health is the reason. I would strongly recommend against making a reservation with this hotel and since the parent brand would not help, I would strongly recommend against staying at any Comfort Suites. I guarantee I will NEVER consider this line for future travel.
Stayed there for a week. Some of the staff was nice and friendly One of the front desk lady (blonde hair) same one everybody else is complaining about very rude didn’t want to service anyone after dialing 0 for them to come out the back You had to ask for housekeeping, pool towels Hot tub was broken Room was dusty upon arrival Before checking out front desk sent housekeeping to my room stating I was due to check out and my reservation said different after showing my reservation I was still booked for a extra night.
Initial room was a disaster. No cleaned and foul smelling. Night clerk was defensive and had no customer service skills. Manager went out of his way the next day to apologize. In these times of staffing shortages some of the issues were understandable. It was a nice property overall. Would suggest some customer service training for the night staff and having a housekeeper on duty till 6pm to cover potential issues if at all possible.
I booked two separate one-night stays at this hotel. I was forced to click a box on each reservation agreeing that these were non-cancellable and non-changeable reservations. Unfortunately, before we could go for either stay, my wife got sick and had to undergo chemotherapy treatment for cancer. I called the hotel and asked if they could just give me credit for the two nights so that we could use them at a later date when my wife felt better from the infusions. All they would do was move the first night's reservation next to the second night. When it became apparent that my wife would still not be able to go, I called the hotel again and was told that if we could not make either stay that we would lose the cost of both nights' reservations, a little over $400.00. I called the parent Choice Hotels company and explained my circumstances to see if they could help. They called the hotel but were told the same story. I would not recommend a stay at this hotel, especially if you need to make an advance reservation. They showed no care or compassion regarding our inability to stay due to my wife's illness; no allowance for giving us credit for a later stay, just the loss of over $400.00.
