Dr. Amy Patrick is an excellent doctor. She always takes time to ask me important questions and listens to my answers very carefully. She also ask me if I have any concerns and makes other recommendations based on my age and history.
I have worked with and enjoyed working with Dr. McIntosh for over 10 years. He cares about his patients, and it shows. Recent changes at the office have not been so great or provided the same level of care I have come to expect. I will continue to see Dr. McIntosh and have no reservation in doing so, but the other details (scheduling, in particular) need improvement.
Back when AFM was not a part of village medical, it was great. Everything was timely and easy accessible, making appointments was easy. Now it’s months before I can get an appointment, if you don’t show up at least 15 minutes before your appointment, they make you reschedule (which I had happen even after I called and said I would be a few minutes late and they told me it would be fine.) I also had to wait days before I could schedule an ultrasound because instead of being able to just send the order over via the computer they had to fax it which took days. The only reason we still go here is because we love Dr. McIntosh.
I am genuinely sad to leave this review. I absolutely love my doctor so much and have been with her for almost 10 years. This is not reflective of her care for my family. The transition to Village Medical has been terrible. Waiting for someone to answer the phone is never less than 15 minutes and typically over 20. Appointments are 3+ months out. We have had to go to urgent care for the past 6 months and only get to see “our” doctor for annual appointments made a year in advance. I’ve asked to make a formal complaint as I am a loyal “customer” and want to make sure they know the issues before we find a new doctor. They gave me the run around that there is no one to give a formal complaint to. They leave me on hold to find someone and hang up. It’s sad to see this place go downhill. I’ve seen the comments and posts going around on social media so I know I’m not the only one. I love my doctor but who knows if we will ever get to see her again. I’m leaving a review in hopes to get the attention of the right person who might be able to help fix the problems internally.
I had an appointment to have a shots for flu and shingles. My check in online helped expedite my time wait. Sophia administered the shots easily and also bandaid me Care Bear band aids. Cute, my granddaughter loved them! All 20 minutes, done!! Very courteous, kind, and professional.
